The UAE has announced that December 2 and 3 will be official holidays for both public and private sector employees to celebrate National Day. This annual occasion marks an important moment in the country’s history and is observed with various events and activities across all emirates.
Because of how the holidays fall in the week, private sector workers will enjoy a five-day weekend. This gives many people a rare chance to take a longer break, spend time with family, or even travel within the country to join the celebrations happening nationwide.
Government employees will also benefit from an extended break, receiving four days off in a row. The long weekend will allow everyone—both residents and citizens—to take part in National Day traditions, attend public events, and reflect on the UAE’s progress and unity.
