UAE Converts Shipping Containers Into Mobile Clinics for Guinea-Bissau

UAE has turned two 20-foot shipping containers into fully equipped mobile health clinics to help people in far-off areas of Guinea-Bissau. These special clinics were built at Jebel Ali Port and are designed to bring basic healthcare to places where hospitals or clinics are hard to reach.

Each mobile clinic comes with beds for patients, clean water systems, and easy access for people in wheelchairs. These features make it possible to provide safe and comfortable medical treatment in remote locations.

The project is being led by Intertrade International Services (IIS), a company involved in humanitarian and development work. A total of four clinics are being sent to Guinea-Bissau. Two of them were made in the UAE, while the other two were built in Europe. Together, they will help many people who live in areas with little or no access to doctors and medical care.

These clinics were also presented at the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference, which brings together people and organizations who work to support those in need around the world. The event gave international visitors a chance to see how the UAE is using innovation to help solve global problems.

This project shows the UAE’s strong commitment to helping others, especially in countries where healthcare is a major challenge. By sending mobile health units, the UAE is playing an important role in saving lives and improving health in poor or hard-to-reach areas.
