UAE Launches Emirates Digital Program to Simplify Zakat Calculation for Businesses Ahead of Ramadan 2025
As Ramadan 2025 approaches, Awqaf has introduced the Emirates Digital Program, a new online platform designed to make it easier for businesses to calculate their zakat.
This initiative is part of the “My Zakat is a Blessing for My Business” campaign and provides an automated system for businesses in the commercial, industrial, and service sectors. The platform ensures zakat calculations are done accurately, following both Sharia principles and modern accounting standards.
With this new digital tool, companies can:
✅ Register multiple businesses under one account.
✅ Keep a record of past zakat calculations for future reference.
✅ Easily update and modify business data as needed.
The Emirates Digital Program is accessible through the official Zakat Fund website (www.zakatfund.ae) and the Zakat app, making it convenient for businesses to fulfill their zakat obligations.
Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Darai highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating that it will help raise awareness about zakat and support the UAE’s broader social and economic development goals.
