The UAE is expected to experience unstable weather from December 13 to December 19, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). During this period, a deepening low-pressure system, combined with an upper-air trough, is likely to bring changing cloud cover and occasional scattered rain across several parts of the country.
Residents can expect early morning humidity, which may lead to fog forming inland and along coastal areas, reducing visibility. Winds are expected to vary in direction, shifting between south-easterly, north-easterly, and north-westerly. While winds will generally remain light to moderate, they may strengthen at times, potentially causing dust in open and exposed areas.
Sea conditions are also expected to be affected. In the Arabian Gulf, waves may become rough in areas experiencing heavy cloud cover, whereas the Sea of Oman is likely to remain calm to moderate, making it generally safer for small vessels.
Authorities have advised residents and travelers to stay updated on the latest weather reports, take precautions during periods of low visibility, and exercise caution in exposed areas and at sea.
