The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced that it will officially lift its travel ban on Lebanon starting from May 7, 2025. This means that Emirati citizens will once again be allowed to visit Lebanon, according to a statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
The decision to remove the travel ban comes after special instructions were given by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It also follows an important state visit to the UAE by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. During his visit, President Aoun met with Sheikh Mohamed to discuss ways to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and to open new opportunities for cooperation and friendship.
Even though the travel restrictions are being lifted, there are still some important rules that Emirati travelers must follow before they can travel to Lebanon. One of the main requirements is that travelers must register on the “Twajudi” platform before they leave the UAE. This platform is used by the government to keep track of citizens traveling abroad and to ensure their safety.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned that anyone who does not complete the required registration on Twajudi might face problems, such as being denied permission to travel or even facing legal action. Therefore, it is very important for all Emirati citizens planning to visit Lebanon to make sure they meet all the necessary requirements.
This decision marks a positive step in rebuilding stronger ties between the UAE and Lebanon. It also shows the UAE’s commitment to supporting its citizens by ensuring that all travel is done safely and in an organized manner.
Travelers are encouraged to stay updated by checking official government announcements and to follow all guidelines to ensure a smooth and trouble-free journey.
