The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has launched Suhail, the world’s first jet-powered drone made especially for firefighting.
This advanced drone was introduced at the UAE Pavilion during Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. It was fully designed and developed in the United Arab Emirates and shows a big step forward in how emergencies are handled.
Suhail runs on a jet engine and uses smart systems to fly with great control. It can take off straight into the air like a helicopter and reach dangerous places where people cannot go safely. This includes areas like high-rise buildings, industrial zones, or remote locations affected by fire or disasters.
The main goal of this drone is to make firefighting quicker, safer, and more effective. It helps emergency teams reach risky spots without putting lives in danger.
This new technology shows how the UAE is using innovation to improve safety and emergency response. It marks a big change in the way we deal with fires and other serious situations.
