The 190 square meters store is a collaboration between Lagardere Travel Retail and Lego Travel Retail. The store boasts an eclectic assortment of iconic and contemporary Lego sets curated to cater to every taste and age group. The whimsical Minifigure Scanner is one of the interactive zones that bring Lego characters to life with a simple scan of the hand.
The store’s centerpiece is a captivating mosaic wall, a tribute to the iconic Dubai skyline. The masterpiece was crafted over 134 hours using 33,219 bricks and weighs 62 kilograms. The mosaic wall’s intricate beauty and artistic flair will captivate travelers and leave a lasting impression. Standing amidst this whimsical landscape is a towering 3D Lego pilot, constructed over 180 hours using 45,033 bricks.
The installation is the perfect backdrop for travelers seeking to capture moments of joy and wonder. The store’s grand opening at Dubai was celebrated on World Lego Day with a four-day celebration from January 25 to 28. Passengers traversing Concourse B were greeted by the presence of the walkabout Lego pilot, spreading smiles and cheers with every step. Over 1,000 Lego gifts were bestowed upon travelers as part of the festivities, a gesture of goodwill and camaraderie that echoed the spirit of community and joy.
