Three residents of the UAE, a Filipino, an Indian, and a Ugandan, have been awarded Golden Visas for dedicating thousands of hours to volunteering. Their efforts have included distributing Iftar food packs, packaging relief supplies, assisting passengers at Dubai Metro, and working as marshals during events.
One of the recipients, Arshad Junaid, a 32-year-old from Bihar, India, currently works as a sales executive in Dubai. He started volunteering after moving to the UAE in 2017 and has since completed over 1,000 hours of volunteer work through the Dubai Government’s volunteer platform.
Despite the challenges of unpaid work, Junaid sees volunteering as a rewarding experience. “Volunteering has become my hobby,” he said. His dedication to helping others and giving back to the community continues to inspire those around him.
This recognition with a Golden Visa highlights the value of selfless service in the UAE, encouraging more residents to get involved and make a difference in their communities.
