EFS Group-Dubai-based facilities management company, celebrated International Workers’ Day 2023 in a unique way by having over 1,000 senior staff and department heads cook a variety of Asian and Arabic meals for their 7,000-plus frontline and blue-collar co-workers. The event, which took place on Sunday, was attended by the Consul-General of India in Dubai and Northern Emirates, Dr Aman Puri, who mingled with the workers and took selfies with them.
Around 1,200 staff members and their families were involved in organizing, preparing, and serving the meals, which included chicken Qorma, Biryani, Burgers, French fries, and more. Each table was assigned to an individual senior member and their family to look after and serve dinner to the workers. The company’s managers also served the meal to around 300 frontline female workers in Jebel Ali and 2,000 workers in Abu Dhabi in their accommodations.
The workers’ co-workers, including Sana Ahmed, business development manager, and Najwa Makhlouf, group director for service assurance, also prepared and served meals. In addition to the meals, the co-workers were entertained with music performed by their colleagues at the Jebel Ali camp.
This gesture of appreciation towards frontline workers was a memorable celebration of International Workers’ Day. It showed that EFS Group values and respects its co-workers and recognizes their hard work and dedication to the company. Such initiatives promote positivity and a sense of community within the workplace, fostering a more productive and enjoyable work environment for all.
