Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a major awareness campaign as part of GCC Traffic Week 2025, which is being observed from April 14 to April 20. The campaign is centered around the theme “Driving Without a Phone,” aiming to tackle the serious issue of distracted driving and encourage safer behavior on the roads throughout the UAE.
This campaign is being carried out in collaboration with several key partners, including the Ministry of Interior, Dubai Police Headquarters, Emirates Driving Institute, and Michelin Tyres. Together, these organizations are working to spread the message that using a phone while driving is dangerous and can lead to serious accidents.
The RTA’s campaign is part of its broader mission to improve road safety and reduce traffic-related injuries and fatalities in Dubai. It also supports the city’s Traffic Safety Strategy, which focuses on creating a safer and more responsible driving culture.
Through educational messages, public events, and awareness activities, the campaign hopes to remind drivers that keeping their focus on the road can save lives. By putting their phones away while driving, motorists can play an important role in making Dubai’s roads safer for everyone.
