Dubai Sets Eid al-Fitr Prayers at 6:40 am Across Over 900 Mosques

Dubai is set to observe Eid Al-Fitr with congregational prayers scheduled to begin at 6:40 am across more than 900 mosques, under the coordination of the Dubai Resilience Centre. This year, authorities have emphasized that all prayers will be held strictly inside mosques, with no outdoor gatherings permitted, as part of measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all worshippers.

Continuing a cherished tradition, the city’s “Muezzin Al Freej” initiative will broadcast the Eid Takbeerat across Dubai, allowing residents to join in the celebratory chants from their homes or while traveling between mosques.

The official confirmation of the Eid dates comes from the UAE’s Presidential Court, which announced that March 19 will mark the last day of Ramadan, and March 20 will be celebrated as Eid Al-Fitr. This decision follows the guidance of the Moon-sighting Committee of the UAE Council for Fatwa, adhering to the traditional lunar calendar and ensuring that communities across the country can prepare appropriately for the festive occasion.

The arrangements reflect Dubai’s commitment to preserving spiritual traditions while prioritizing public health and safety during the celebrations.
