Pakistan Sends Fighter Jets to Saudi Arabia Under Defence Agreement

Pakistan has deployed fighter jets and support aircraft to Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province under an existing joint defence cooperation framework, amid rising concerns over the possibility of renewed Iranian drone and missile attacks in the region. The move reflects the close strategic partnership between Islamabad and Riyadh and comes at a sensitive time for regional security.

According to Saudi authorities, a contingent of the Pakistan Air Force has arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base to boost operational readiness and improve military coordination between the two allied nations. The deployment is aimed at strengthening defensive capabilities, enhancing aerial surveillance, and ensuring rapid response preparedness in case of any escalation.

The long-standing defence partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia includes joint military exercises, training programs, intelligence sharing, and coordinated responses to regional threats. Pakistan has historically maintained close defence ties with the Kingdom and has often extended support during periods of heightened tension.

The latest deployment comes as tensions across the Middle East remain elevated and coincides with ongoing United States-Iran talks being hosted in Islamabad. Those diplomatic efforts are focused on stabilizing the situation after weeks of conflict and preventing any further escalation that could impact the wider region.
