UAE Court Orders Company to Pay Dh251,000 in Unpaid Wages to Ex-Employee

A labour court in Abu Dhabi has ruled in favor of a former employee, ordering his employer to pay Dh251,461 after he was dismissed without receiving his full financial entitlements following more than 13 years of service.

The employee, who had been earning a monthly salary of Dh15,700, initially filed a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, seeking resolution over unpaid dues. After the matter remained unresolved, he escalated the case to the labour court.

In his claim, the worker stated that the company had failed to pay several key benefits owed to him, including outstanding wages, end-of-service gratuity, unused leave compensation, and notice period pay. Upon reviewing the evidence and details of the case, the court ruled in his favor, affirming his right to receive all pending payments.

The judgment directed the company to fully settle the outstanding amount, reinforcing the importance of adhering to employment laws and ensuring that workers receive their rightful dues upon termination.
