Arabic Language Teaching Program Launched at Makkah’s Grand Mosque for Non-Native Speakers

Saudi Arabia has introduced a new Arabic language teaching program at the Masjid al-Haram, specifically designed for non-native speakers. The initiative aims to make it easier for visitors from around the world to understand and engage with the Arabic language, particularly in a religious context.

The program has been developed through a collaboration between the Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Two Holy Mosques and the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language. It focuses on strengthening Qur’anic study circles while improving the overall learning experience for pilgrims and visitors. By integrating structured lessons with practical language use, the initiative seeks to bridge communication gaps and enhance comprehension during religious practices.

In addition to student-focused learning, the program also places strong emphasis on teacher development. Specialized training sessions are being introduced to equip instructors with modern teaching methods, while simplified and accessible educational materials are being prepared to ensure learners of all backgrounds can benefit. Officials believe this initiative will not only elevate the quality of Arabic language education but also encourage cultural exchange, helping visitors develop a deeper connection with the language and its role in Islamic traditions.
