Residents across the UAE can expect a mix of partly cloudy and cloudy weather in several parts of the country on Sunday, August 16, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
Cloud cover is expected to increase particularly across the northern and eastern regions, with a possibility of light rainfall in some areas.
Despite the cloudier conditions, temperatures will remain extremely high across the emirates. Some areas could see temperatures climb to around 48°C, while Dubai is forecast to reach approximately 42°C and Abu Dhabi could record temperatures of up to 45°C.
Humidity levels are expected to rise during the overnight hours and into Monday morning, particularly along some western coastal areas. These conditions could lead to the formation of mist in certain locations, potentially reducing visibility at times.
Winds are expected to remain generally light to moderate, occasionally becoming stronger and reaching speeds of around 30km/h.
The movement of winds may contribute to blowing dust in some exposed areas, although conditions are expected to remain generally manageable.
At sea, conditions are forecast to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, providing relatively calm marine conditions.
With temperatures still firmly in summer territory, residents are advised to remain prepared for intense heat while keeping an eye on changing conditions in areas where clouds, rain or mist are expected.
