The UAE is likely to witness extremely hot early-summer weather conditions during the upcoming Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha holidays, with meteorologists forecasting high daytime temperatures across several parts of the country.
According to weather experts, temperatures during the holiday period are expected to range between 39°C and 42°C during the day, while nighttime conditions will remain relatively warm, with temperatures hovering between 25°C and 28°C. The combination of intense heat, dry conditions, and clear skies is expected to make outdoor exposure particularly challenging, especially during midday hours.
Forecasters stated that the hottest period of the day will likely occur between noon and late afternoon, when direct sunlight and rising humidity levels could increase discomfort and heat exhaustion risks. The weather is also expected to remain mostly stable, with little to no chance of rainfall during the Eid holidays.
Authorities and health experts are advising residents, visitors, and pilgrims to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the harsh weather conditions. People are being encouraged to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, wear light and breathable clothing, and reduce outdoor activities during peak heat hours whenever possible.
Special attention is also being directed toward pilgrims performing Hajj rituals, as high temperatures can increase the risk of dehydration and heat-related illnesses. Medical professionals recommend using umbrellas, sunscreen, and cooling measures while moving outdoors during the daytime.
Based on astronomical calculations, the month of Dhul Hijjah is expected to begin around May 18, while Arafat Day is anticipated to fall on May 26, followed by Eid Al Adha on May 27. However, the final dates will depend on the official moon sighting announcements made by the relevant authorities.
