Coach Trains Emirati Jiu-Jitsu 80 Athletes, Wins 35 Medals in First Year

Emirati Jiu-Jitsu coach Ahmed Omar is quickly gaining recognition in the UAE sports community after launching PTF Sports Academy in Abu Dhabi in 2025. Despite being newly established, the academy has already made a strong impact by training more than 80 athletes across various age groups and achieving over 35 medals in local and regional competitions within its first year.

What makes the academy stand out is its commitment to being fully managed by Emirati professionals, reflecting the growing role of local talent in developing the country’s sports sector. The academy focuses not only on athletic performance and competitive success but also on building discipline, confidence, and character among young athletes.

Ahmed Omar, who brings more than 12 years of experience in coaching and competitive Jiu-Jitsu, said his vision goes beyond producing champions in tournaments. He emphasized that the academy aims to shape individuals with strong values, leadership qualities, and the ability to succeed both inside and outside the sport.

With its rapid early success and focus on long-term athlete development, PTF Sports Academy is emerging as one of Abu Dhabi’s promising new centers for Jiu-Jitsu training and youth development.
