Holders of the United Arab Emirates passport will now be able to travel to Papua New Guinea without obtaining a visa in advance, following the implementation of a new mutual visa waiver agreement between the two countries.
Under the new arrangement, citizens of both nations can enter each other’s countries visa-free for stays of up to 90 days. The agreement also allows extensions of up to 180 days for various purposes, including tourism, education, medical treatment, and employment, as long as travelers meet passport validity and other entry requirements.
Officials have described the move as an important step toward strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries. The agreement is expected to encourage greater cooperation in trade, tourism, and cultural exchange, while also making travel more convenient for citizens on both sides.
The latest visa-free access further boosts the global standing of the United Arab Emirates passport, which continues to rank among the world’s strongest travel documents in terms of international mobility. Authorities say the development reflects the country’s growing diplomatic influence and its ongoing efforts to expand global partnerships.
The new policy is also expected to open up fresh opportunities for travelers, students, and professionals, while making cross-border movement easier and more accessible between the two nations.
