Dubai continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainability by creating meaningful environmental learning opportunities for young students.
As part of Terra’s Hundred Hives initiative, the programme has officially reached its first school in Dubai, introducing children to the fascinating world of beekeeping while highlighting the essential role that bees and other pollinators play in maintaining biodiversity, supporting ecosystems, and ensuring global food security.
Through practical, hands-on activities, students gain firsthand experience in caring for beehives and understanding how pollinators contribute to a healthy environment.
The initiative goes beyond classroom learning by encouraging curiosity, environmental responsibility, and a deeper appreciation for nature. It also helps students understand the importance of conservation, climate action, and sustainable practices in their daily lives.
The programme represents another important milestone in Dubai’s broader sustainability vision, demonstrating how schools can play a key role in shaping environmentally conscious future generations.
By combining education with real-world conservation experiences, the Hundred Hives initiative is empowering young people to become active contributors to a greener, more sustainable future for the UAE and beyond.
