Saudi Arabia has recorded its hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures soaring to 50°C in Al-Ahsa, as an intense heatwave continues to grip large parts of the Kingdom.
Several cities across the Eastern Province, including Dammam, Dhahran, Al Khobar, and Jubail, have also experienced extremely high temperatures, making outdoor conditions particularly challenging.
The National Center for Meteorology has issued warnings about the dangerous heat, along with dust and reduced visibility in some areas.
Residents have been urged to take extra precautions by limiting outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours, staying well hydrated, wearing protective clothing, and following official weather advisories.
Meteorologists expect the severe summer conditions to persist throughout July and August, with forecasts indicating temperatures will remain above seasonal averages across much of Saudi Arabia.
Authorities continue to encourage the public to prioritize safety and remain alert to changing weather conditions as the prolonged heatwave continues.
