Sharjah Opens Dh 30 Million Al Hisn Island Bridge to Boost Connectivity in Dibba Al Hisn

Sharjah has officially completed the Dh30 million Al Hisn Island Bridge in Dibba Al Hisn, further strengthening the emirate’s transport infrastructure and improving connectivity within the region. The newly constructed 54-metre bridge links both sides of Al Hisn Island, making travel more convenient while enhancing traffic flow and accessibility for residents and visitors.

In addition to the bridge, the project includes a 320-metre dual carriageway, dedicated pedestrian walkways, decorative lighting, and upgraded road safety features. Authorities said the design reflects Sharjah’s architectural heritage while incorporating modern infrastructure standards to create a safer and more efficient transport network.

Officials believe the new bridge will play an important role in supporting sustainable urban development, easing traffic movement, and improving overall road connectivity across Dibba Al Hisn. The project is part of Sharjah’s broader long-term strategy to invest in infrastructure that enhances quality of life and meets the growing transportation needs of the emirate.
