Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that public parking across the emirate will be free on Friday, August 28, in observance of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Birthday holiday.
The exemption covers public parking spaces throughout Dubai, giving residents and visitors a temporary break from parking fees during the holiday. However, multi-storey parking facilities will continue to operate under their regular paid system.
Normal parking charges will resume on Saturday, August 29.
The RTA has also introduced revised operating hours for Dubai Metro and Tram services to accommodate increased travel during the holiday and help residents and visitors move around the city more conveniently.
