Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) District 16 is set to introduce paid on-street parking from October 15, with parking operator Parkonic managing the new system. The move will bring paid parking charges to the area throughout the week, including weekends and public holidays.
Under the new system, motorists will pay Dh4 per hour from 8am to 5pm and Dh6 per hour from 5pm to midnight. Parking will remain free overnight. Eligible residents will also have the option to purchase membership packages starting from Dh672 per month, allowing them to avoid regular hourly parking charges.
The ticketless system will record vehicles through their number plates, eliminating the need for traditional parking tickets. Drivers will be able to make payments through SMS or Salik, making the process more digital and convenient as Dubai continues expanding smart parking services across residential communities.
