Authorities in Abu Dhabi have further expanded the paid parking system in the industrial area of Musaffah as part of ongoing efforts to tackle illegal parking, improve traffic movement, and reduce congestion in crowded commercial zones.
Under the third phase of the project, nearly 4,000 paid parking spaces have officially become operational across sectors M5, M6, M21, M22, and M23 starting from May 18. The initiative is aimed at creating a more organized parking environment in one of the emirate’s busiest industrial and business districts, where high vehicle activity often leads to traffic disruptions and parking violations.
Officials stated that the expansion is part of a broader parking management strategy introduced earlier this year to enhance urban mobility and improve accessibility for residents, workers, and visitors traveling within Musaffah. The plan is designed to streamline parking operations, discourage random roadside parking, and ensure smoother traffic circulation throughout the area.
Authorities believe the newly introduced parking spaces will help reduce overcrowding on streets, support businesses operating in the district, and make it easier for commuters to find designated parking spots during peak hours. Clear signage, regulated parking zones, and improved monitoring systems have also been introduced to encourage better compliance with parking rules.
The latest rollout follows earlier phases implemented in other parts of Musaffah as well as nearby districts in Abu Dhabi, reflecting the emirate’s wider push toward more efficient and sustainable urban transport management. Officials say additional improvements and future expansions may continue as demand for organized parking solutions grows across the city.
