Dubai has unveiled a new initiative, “Map Your Dubai: Insider Edition,” in collaboration with Google, aimed at shining a spotlight on the city’s diverse and growing community of homegrown restaurants and cafés. The campaign seeks to encourage residents and tourists alike to explore lesser-known dining destinations while supporting local entrepreneurs and businesses that contribute to Dubai’s unique culinary identity.
As part of the initiative, Google Local Guides will create specially curated food lists based on their personal recommendations and experiences, helping people discover hidden gems across different neighborhoods of the city. More than 100 locally established food brands are expected to be featured, offering a wide variety of cuisines and dining experiences. The campaign will also invite the public to participate through a voting process, allowing food enthusiasts to select their favorite curated lists and celebrate the people, flavors, and stories behind Dubai’s vibrant food scene. Officials believe the initiative will not only promote local businesses but also strengthen Dubai’s reputation as one of the world’s most dynamic and diverse culinary destinations.
