Dubai Offers Free Metro Shaped Ice Cream For Back-to-School

Dubai started the new school season with a cheerful surprise for both students and daily commuters. To make the first week back to school more enjoyable, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) gave away special metro-shaped ice creams, created in partnership with Igloo, at Al Ghubaiba and InsuranceMarket metro stations.

The ice creams, designed in blue and white to resemble the Dubai Metro, were not just a refreshing treat on a warm day but also a fun keepsake for families and students. Many people were seen taking photos with the unique ice creams, turning an ordinary commute into a lighthearted celebration.

For parents and children alike, the gesture added a festive touch to what can often be a stressful time of year. In the UAE, the back-to-school season is treated almost like a festival, with shops offering discounts, bakeries preparing themed cakes, and authorities launching awareness campaigns to ensure student safety.

This small but thoughtful initiative by the RTA helped spread joy across the community, reminding everyone that even simple surprises can make everyday experiences more memorable.
