The government of Dubai has launched a new digital platform called ‘Work Bundle’ to reduce the processing time for work permits and residency visas from 30 days to just five. This new platform aims to simplify and shorten the procedures for residency and work permits in the country.
Previously, obtaining work permits and residency visas in Dubai could take up to 30 days and involved submitting a stack of 16 documents. However, with the help of Work Bundle, the processing time has now been reduced to just five days, and applicants need to submit only five documents. Additionally, the number of visits to visa centers has also been reduced from seven to just two days, making it more convenient for the applicants.
The Work Bundle platform integrates several government agencies such as the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre), Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and the Department of Economy and Tourism, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
With the launch of Work Bundle, the Dubai government aims to make the visa application process more efficient and hassle-free for the applicants. This new digital platform is expected to facilitate and simplify the procedures for residency and work permits in the country, making it easier for private sector employees to obtain work permits and residency visas in Dubai.
The adoption of the Work Bundle platform will help cut down the processing time, reduce the number of documents required, and also minimize the number of visits needed to visa centers.
