    Dubai Student Breaks UAE Record, Wins Double Gold at World School Swim Championships in UK

    A young student from Brighton College Dubai has achieved a major victory on the global stage. Twelve-year-old Aya Al Dameh, a Year 7 student and sports scholar, won two gold medals at the World School Games (WSG) Swim Championships held in London, UK.

    The event took place from May 11 to 12 and brought together more than 500 young athletes from schools around the world. Participants competed in three different age categories: Under-11 (U11), Under-13 (U13), and Under-15 (U15).

    Aya competed in the U13 girls’ category and gave an amazing performance. She won gold in both the 50-meter and 100-meter breaststroke races. In addition to that, she also won a bronze medal in the 100-meter butterfly event, proving her talent and strength in multiple swimming styles.

    Her school, Brighton College Dubai, proudly shared the news of her achievement, calling it a proud moment for the school and a great example for other students. Aya’s success not only brings honor to her school but also shows what hard work, dedication, and passion can achieve.

    Competing in an international event at such a young age and returning with multiple medals is no small feat. Aya’s accomplishments have inspired many young swimmers in Dubai and beyond to dream big and train hard.
