Indian billionaire Gautam Adani has once again become Asia’s wealthiest person, according to the latest Forbes Real-Time Billionaires rankings. His net worth has climbed to an estimated $89.2 billion, allowing him to move ahead of fellow Indian industrialist Mukesh Ambani, whose fortune is currently valued at around $88 billion. Masayoshi Son, founder of SoftBank, remains close behind with an estimated net worth of $87 billion.
The rise in Adani’s wealth has been driven by strong performances across several major companies within the Adani Group, including Adani Power, Adani Ports, Adani Enterprises, Adani Green Energy, and Adani Energy Solutions. His fortune has reportedly increased by nearly $10 billion in recent months, supported by investor confidence and gains in the group’s share prices. The recovery comes after legal charges related to the conglomerate were dismissed, with the Adani Group consistently maintaining its stance and denying all allegations throughout the proceedings. The latest rankings highlight the continued influence of Asia’s leading business figures in global markets and the growing value of large-scale infrastructure and energy investments.
