King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) in Riyadh has earned Diamond status in the World Stroke Organization Awards, adding another prestigious achievement to its growing list of international healthcare accolades.
The recognition was awarded to the hospital’s Neuroscience Center of Excellence for its outstanding performance in stroke care and its adherence to some of the highest global standards in patient treatment. Among its key accomplishments is the ability to provide life-saving clot-dissolving therapy within 60 minutes for the majority of eligible stroke patients, significantly improving recovery outcomes and reducing the risk of long-term disability.
Hospital officials attributed the achievement to the seamless collaboration between emergency response teams, neurologists, and specialized healthcare professionals who work together to ensure rapid diagnosis and treatment. The facility has also been recognized for its commitment to innovation, including the introduction of the Middle East’s first Mobile Stroke Unit, which brings advanced stroke assessment and treatment directly to patients before they reach the hospital.
The latest award represents KFSHRC’s sixth major international distinction in 2026, further strengthening its reputation as a leading medical institution in the region. The accomplishment reflects the hospital’s ongoing dedication to advancing healthcare, pioneering medical research, and delivering world-class patient care across a wide range of specialties.
