Abu Dhabi will temporarily restrict the entry of heavy vehicles and worker buses into Abu Dhabi Island during the morning peak period from August 31 to September 4.
The restriction will be enforced daily between 6:30am and 9am, when traffic volumes are typically at their highest.
The temporary measure is aimed at easing congestion, improving traffic flow and ensuring smoother movement on roads leading to and within Abu Dhabi Island.
Authorities are encouraging affected operators to plan their journeys and schedules accordingly during the restricted hours.
However, logistics support vehicles and cleaning company vehicles will be exempt from the restriction.
The exemptions are intended to ensure that essential support and cleaning services can continue operating normally while the traffic management measures are in place.
