Over 60,000 UAE Citizens Apply for Haj 2025 Pilgrimage

Over 60,000 people have already signed up for the 2025 Hajj package, according to the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat. Those who get the initial approval will be informed through a text message. Once notified, they must quickly complete all necessary steps to ensure a smooth process.

For the upcoming Hajj, the UAE has been given 6,228 spots for pilgrims. This number is part of a quota set by Saudi authorities to manage the large number of pilgrims. The process for selecting who will fill these spots will follow guidelines set by Cabinet Resolution No. (32) of 2018, which covers how Hajj and Umrah operations are conducted.

To ensure a fair and organized process, the General Authority has introduced new rules for operators handling Hajj applications. Operators are now required to obtain approval before accepting any applications. If they don’t follow these rules, they could face hefty fines, which can go up to Dh50,000 for violations.

Saudi Arabia has also emphasized the importance of health for those planning to go on Hajj in 2025. With the pilgrimage involving extensive walking in the hot summer, they are advising that only healthy and physically fit individuals undertake this spiritual journey. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of all pilgrims during the physically demanding pilgrimage.
