Saudi Arabia Launches $2.1 Billion Jeddah Mega Project For 700,000 Residents

Saudi Arabia has officially unveiled the “Jawharat Al Arous” (Jewel of the Bride) project, a major private residential development located in the northern part of Jeddah. The massive project carries an estimated investment value of SAR 8 billion, equivalent to around $2.1 billion, and is considered one of the region’s largest upcoming urban housing initiatives. The launch reflects the Kingdom’s continued focus on expanding modern residential communities and strengthening long-term urban planning efforts.

Spread across nearly 107 million square metres, the development is designed to include 18 integrated residential neighbourhoods capable of accommodating more than 700,000 residents. Officials said the master plan also includes 41 government-designated plans along with more than 80,000 residential and commercial plots aimed at supporting population growth and increasing demand for housing and business opportunities in the city.

The project is expected to deliver extensive infrastructure and public service facilities, including roads, utilities, community services, and government amenities to ensure sustainable urban expansion. Authorities believe the development will play a key role in enhancing living standards, attracting investment, and supporting economic diversification goals under the Kingdom’s broader development strategy.

With rapid urban growth continuing across Saudi Arabia, projects such as Jawharat Al Arous are being viewed as an important step toward creating modern, well-planned communities that can meet future housing needs while also contributing to economic and social development in Jeddah.
