Sri Lanka is taking steps to boost tourism by offering free tourist visas to visitors from seven countries, including China, India, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Their goal is to attract five million tourists in three years.
To make it easier for tourists to explore, they’re simplifying access to heritage sites with a single ticket for multiple places. Additionally, they plan to make train ticket purchases more convenient, either online or at the airport.
This initiative is part of Sri Lanka’s broader effort to revitalize its tourism sector, boost its economy, and improve the travel experience for visitors. It aligns with the global trend of adapting to post-pandemic tourism practices, showing the country’s commitment to welcoming international tourists and enhancing their travel experiences.
