Dubai has inaugurated a new three-lane bridge under the Oud Metha and Al Asayel Streets Development Project, marking another milestone in the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance road infrastructure and improve traffic flow.
The newly opened bridge is designed to accommodate up to 3,600 vehicles per hour, offering smoother connectivity between key roads and helping reduce congestion in one of Dubai’s busiest areas.
According to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the overall development project is now 90% complete and includes the construction of tunnels, additional bridges, and extensive road upgrades to support the emirate’s expanding transport network.
Once fully completed, the project is expected to reduce travel times on major routes from 20 minutes to just five minutes, improving daily commutes while supporting Dubai’s growing population and long-term urban development plans.
