The UAE’s visa amnesty program is set to end on October 31, and there will be no extensions, according to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP). After the program concludes, individuals who have violated their visa conditions may face deportation and could be added to a no-entry list.
With just three weeks left in the program, authorities plan to carry out inspections in residential areas and businesses to find any violators. Maj-Gen Sultan Al Nuaimi has stated that this amnesty is the last opportunity for individuals to correct their visa status. He emphasized that there will be no leniency, and there will be no court proceedings for those who do not comply.
After the program ends, the total number of people who adjusted their status during this period will be announced. In September, Dubai reported that nearly 20,000 individuals had their visa status regularized, and 7,401 exit permits were issued.
People are encouraged to take advantage of this final chance to ensure their compliance with visa regulations to avoid any legal consequences.
