The United Arab Emirates has launched a new programme aimed at equipping women farmers with practical knowledge and skills in sustainable agriculture, beekeeping and farm-based business management.
Field-based training is scheduled to begin across several emirates in September, giving participants an opportunity to learn through hands-on agricultural activities and expert guidance.
The programme will cover a range of topics, including greenhouse farming, efficient irrigation, pest management, palm cultivation, honey production and farm record-keeping.
The training is designed to help women improve agricultural productivity, manage resources more effectively and develop stronger approaches to the commercial side of farming.
The initiative also seeks to strengthen women’s contribution to food security, sustainable farming and economic development while encouraging knowledge-sharing between generations.
By expanding access to practical agricultural training, the programme aims to support women farmers in building more productive and sustainable farming practices.
