The UAE could see above-average rainfall between October and January, according to long-range weather models as the El Niño climate pattern strengthens.
Meteorologists have cautioned that El Niño does not automatically mean the UAE will experience heavy rainfall, flooding or extreme weather. Actual conditions will depend on several factors, including local pressure systems, atmospheric circulation and moisture levels.
Temperatures are expected to remain high in the near term before gradually becoming more moderate. Daytime temperatures could still reach around 44°C to 46°C in some areas.
Residents are advised to monitor official weather updates and forecasts as the season approaches, as rainfall patterns and atmospheric conditions can change over time.
