    UAE’s 3-month Visit Visas Discontinued

In a recent update, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has made changes to its visa policies by suspending the issuance of three-month visit visas. This decision has left travelers inquiring about their options for visiting this country.

The Federal Authority For Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) has officially confirmed the discontinuation of three-month entry permits. This means that individuals seeking extended stays in the UAE will no longer have access to these visas.

Before this change, visitors to the UAE had the choice of 30 or 60 day visas, which they could obtain with the assistance of travel agencies. However, according to reports, travel agents have also been affected by this decision, as they can no longer request three-month visit visas through their online portal.

Interestingly, the three-month visit visa had a somewhat tumultuous recent history. It was temporarily halted during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the UAE reinstated it in May as a leisure visa, which brought delight to thousands of people eager to explore this remarkable destination.

For those with family ties in the UAE, there is still a silver lining. The immigration authorities in Dubai continue to issue 90-day visas, primarily for first-degree relatives of UAE residents. This means that residents can bring their parents or relatives to the UAE on the three month scheme, even though standalone three month visit visas are no longer available.

The United Arab Emirates, is renowned for its captivating blend of modernity and a rich cultural heritage. Comprising seven emirates, including the iconic Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the UAE offers variety of landmarks, opulent resorts, and a vibrant cosmopolitan lifestyle. Its thriving economy is propelled by diverse industries such as finance, tourism, and oil.
