World’s Rarest Supercars up for Auction in Dubai Next Month

Dubai is set to host an auction of some of the world’s rarest and most exotic supercars next month. RM Sotheby’s, the world’s largest collector car auction house, will hold its first Dubai auction of supercars on March 9. The event will feature some of the most exclusive automobiles from top-notch brands, including Bugatti, Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari, and Lamborghini. One of the most notable cars to go under the hammer is the 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie, which is expected to fetch between $2.9 million to $3.3 million at the auction.

This one-owner car, which is presented in Scintilla Silver color, has been little-used and is being offered for sale in Dubai for the first time. Another standout car that will be auctioned in Dubai is the 1935 Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic Recreation by Erik Koux. This recreation of one of the most iconic pre-war cars in existence is estimated to sell for between Dh2.57 million to Dh3.3 million.

The 2014 McLaren P1 and the 2022 Ferrari 812 Competizione will also be up for auction, with the former being offered in the attractive color combination of Mercury over Harissa Red and the latter being a V-12 and front-engined car estimated to cost between Dh4 million to Dh4.77 million. But that’s not all, the 2017 Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 Coupe, one of just 20 Centenario Coupes made to commemorate company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s centenary year, will also be available for sale in Dubai. This supercar is powered by a 6.5-litre V-12 and costs between Dh7.34 million to Dh9.175 million.

Additionally, one-of-three Koenigsegg Agera RSR, made exclusively for the Japanese market, will also be put up for auction in Dubai. The supercar is powered by a 5.0-liter V-8 and has a staggering return of 1,160 horsepower; paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is estimated to cost between Dh10.2 million to Dh12.5 million.

Due to the relocation of thousands of millionaires into Dubai in 2023 and 2024, the demand for ultra-luxury cars in the country is expected to increase. With the upcoming auction of some of the world’s rarest supercars in Dubai, the country is set to further cement its position as one of the top luxury car markets in the world.
