Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project, a $500 billion initiative to create a futuristic city in the making parallel to the Red Sea coast and a luxury ski resort in the Tabuk mountains, has opened its first office in New York City. Princess Reema bint Bandar, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the US, officially opened the office on Tuesday, describing NEOM as “An inspiration for ambitious projects around the world, as it represents a unique model for future cities.”
NEOM’s The Line, a city in the making, is envisioned to be a sustainable metropolis that will use advanced technology, renewable energy, and automation to create a high-quality living environment. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, The Line aims to rewrite the rules of engineering and conceptions of what is possible in the desert kingdom.
The luxury Trojena ski resort, nestled in the Tabuk mountains, is another ambitious project by NEOM.
