    Dubai’s RTA Raises Dh 69.137 Million from Auction of Premium Number Plates

    Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recently held a successful auction of vehicle license plates, raising AED 69.137 million. This was the 116th edition of the auction, where 90 premium plates were up for sale. These plates had numbers ranging from two to five digits and featured different letters like AA, L, N, and more.

    The highlight of the auction was the sale of the plate AA17, which brought in the highest bid of AED 8.02 million. Other plates also sold for high prices, including Y1000, which went for AED 4.55 million, V96 for AED 4.1 million, and AA333 for AED 3.01 million.

    RTA organizes both public and electronic auctions, maintaining a focus on fairness and transparency. These auctions often attract individuals who are looking for unique license plates that hold personal significance, whether it be related to important life events or personal goals.
