Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) celebrated UAE National Day by giving away 450 free child car seats to families with newborns. The initiative, called “My Baby’s Gift on Eid Al Etihad,” ran from December 1 to 5 and aimed to promote child safety.
This program was organized in partnership with UNICEF and several public and private organizations. Hospitals across Dubai received the car seats based on the number of expected births during the National Day celebrations. This year, the program reached 24 hospitals, ensuring that mothers of newborns were provided with free car seats.
The RTA has been running this initiative for the past five years, distributing over 2,000 car seats during National Day celebrations. This effort highlights the importance of road safety and the need to protect children while traveling.
The RTA’s gesture not only supports families during a joyous occasion but also raises awareness about the importance of using car seats for newborns. By collaborating with various organizations, the initiative successfully contributes to safer transportation for young children.
This thoughtful program underscores Dubai’s commitment to both community welfare and road safety during a time of national pride.
