UAE Cuts Fuel Prices by Up to 17% for July, First Drop in Four Months

Motorists across the UAE will see welcome relief at the fuel pumps from July 1 as the country announces a notable reduction in petrol and diesel prices.

The latest revision marks the first monthly fuel price decrease since February, providing lower transportation costs for residents, businesses, and commercial drivers.

The UAE Fuel Price Committee has reduced prices across all fuel categories, including Super 98, Special 95, E-Plus 91, and diesel.

The price cuts, which reach up to 16.9% in some categories, follow a decline in global crude oil prices during June and reflect improving conditions in international energy markets.

The lower fuel prices are expected to benefit daily commuters, families travelling during the summer season, and businesses that rely heavily on road transport.

Reduced fuel costs may also help ease operating expenses for logistics companies, delivery services, and other sectors where transportation plays a major role.

Although the latest reductions provide meaningful savings for consumers, fuel prices remain above the levels seen earlier this year before regional geopolitical tensions affected global oil markets.

Even so, the July price adjustment signals a positive trend and highlights the UAE’s monthly fuel pricing mechanism, which aligns domestic fuel rates with changes in international oil prices.
