    Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Judo Tournament Set to Start on October 11

    The UAE Judo Federation has announced that the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Judo tournament will take place from October 11 to 13 at Mubadala Arena. This event is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

    Organized in partnership with the International Judo Federation (IJF) and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the tournament will feature a total prize pool of $154,000.

    Top-ranked judokas from around the world will compete in seven different weight categories. A total of 56 medals will be awarded, including 14 gold medals, 14 silver medals, and 28 bronze medals, recognizing the achievements of the best athletes in the competition.

    The draw for the tournament will be held on October 10 at the Grand Millennium Hotel, and it will be conducted via videoconferencing. Athletes interested in participating can still register on the IJF website up until the draw date.

    This prestigious event not only highlights the skill and dedication of judo athletes but also showcases Abu Dhabi’s commitment to promoting sports and hosting international competitions. Fans and supporters of judo can look forward to an exciting weekend of high-level competition.
