Dubai Launches FreeIce Cream & Juice Drive to Protect Outdoor Workers from Summer Heat

Dubai has officially launched the third edition of the Al Freej Fridge campaign, a humanitarian initiative dedicated to supporting thousands of outdoor workers during the peak summer season.

As part of the campaign, free ice cream, chilled drinking water, and refreshing juices will be distributed to construction workers, delivery riders, sanitation crews, landscapers, security personnel, and other frontline workers who continue to perform essential duties despite the extreme heat.

Running until September 3, the initiative aims to provide more than 2 million refreshments across the emirate.

Backed by volunteers, charitable organizations, and community partners, the campaign is designed to help workers stay hydrated, reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses, and show appreciation for the vital role they play in keeping Dubai operating every day.

The campaign highlights Dubai’s continued emphasis on worker welfare, public health, and community solidarity.

By encouraging residents, businesses, and volunteers to participate, the initiative promotes a culture of compassion and gratitude while ensuring that those working outdoors receive practical support during the hottest months of the year.
