Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with Keeta, has launched the “Safe and Healthy Summer” campaign to support the health, safety, and well-being of delivery riders working across the emirate during the peak summer heat.
The month-long initiative, running throughout August, focuses on protecting riders from heat-related health risks, including heat exhaustion and heatstroke.
As part of the campaign, around 5,000 health kits will be distributed among delivery riders, along with medical screening services, cooling towels, hand fans, and practical safety guidance.
The campaign also places strong emphasis on preventive measures such as staying hydrated, taking adequate rest breaks, and following safe riding practices during periods of extreme temperatures.
Awareness sessions will help riders recognize early symptoms of heat stress and understand the importance of taking timely precautions.
With Dubai’s delivery sector employing more than 70,000 riders, the initiative highlights the importance of protecting the workforce that continues to provide essential delivery services throughout the city, even under challenging summer conditions.
