Dubai’s aviation sector is expected to create 185,000 new jobs by 2030, bringing the total number of aviation-related jobs in the city to 816,000. This growth is outlined in a report by Emirates Group and Dubai Airports, compiled by Oxford Economics.
Currently, around 631,000 people are employed in aviation-related roles in Dubai, which makes up one in every five jobs in the city. These roles range from those directly involved in aviation, such as airline staff and airport workers, to jobs in sectors like tourism that benefit from the growth of the aviation industry.
By 2030, the number of people employed in aviation-related jobs is expected to increase significantly, with one in every four jobs in Dubai being connected to the aviation sector. This includes 303,000 jobs directly supported by aviation, such as pilots, ground staff, and cabin crew, as well as 329,000 jobs linked to tourism, which thrives because of the ease and accessibility of air travel to and from Dubai.
This projected growth highlights the key role the aviation sector will continue to play in Dubai’s economy, not only by creating jobs but also by supporting the tourism industry and contributing to the overall development of the city. As Dubai continues to position itself as a global hub for travel and trade, the demand for skilled professionals in aviation and related industries is expected to grow steadily over the coming years. The impact of this growth will likely be felt across a wide range of sectors, making aviation a cornerstone of Dubai’s future economic landscape.
