Dubai’s Etihad Rail passenger station is scheduled to open on September 30, 2026, marking another significant development in the UAE’s expanding national railway network.
The new passenger station is expected to strengthen connections between Dubai and other major cities, business hubs and tourist destinations across the country.
Al Dhaid Station is also scheduled to begin operations on the same date, while additional passenger stations are planned to become operational through 2027.
Etihad Rail’s passenger services are designed to provide travellers with a convenient alternative to road transport. Facilities are expected to include comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, charging points and dedicated luggage areas.
The expansion of passenger rail services is expected to improve mobility between different parts of the UAE while supporting the country’s wider goals for sustainable transportation, connectivity and economic development.
As more stations and routes are introduced, the national railway network could provide residents and visitors with additional options for travelling across the Emirates.
