Dubai’s New Plan Targets 31% Growth & Dh 35 Billion Economic Boost

Dubai has approved a new Longevity Strategy designed to develop the emirate’s longevity and life sciences sector while contributing more than Dh35 billion to the economy over the next decade.

The strategy targets annual sector growth of around 31% as Dubai seeks to expand its position in advanced healthcare and medical innovation.

The plan will focus on several key areas, including healthy longevity, research and development, clinical trials, advanced healthcare, biotechnology, and manufacturing.

It aims to attract new investments, encourage innovation, and create opportunities for international companies and researchers to participate in Dubai’s growing health and life sciences ecosystem.

Earlier this year, Dubai established the Longevity Authority to help build an integrated ecosystem focused on medical innovation, life sciences, advanced healthcare, and technologies aimed at supporting longer and healthier lives.

The new strategy reflects Dubai’s broader efforts to develop longevity as a major future economic sector while strengthening its healthcare infrastructure and attracting global expertise, investment, and research opportunities to the emirate.
